There are fees associated with on-line giving.  For Credit/Debit card transactions, there is a 2.9% + $.30 fee per transaction.  For ACH (Electronic)/Bank transactions, there is a 1% + $.30 fee per transaction.  All fees will be shown to you before you submit your contribution.  Credit/Debit card transactions typically will be deposited to the church's account within 2-3 days.  ACH/Bank transactions can take up to 10 days to show up in the church's account.  Both methods are great, and you can decide what works best for you.

Within Tithe.ly, you have the ability to pay for the transaction fees.  If this is not selected, the fees are subtracted from your donation.  This is a personal decision for all who give.  Please be aware that the option to cover the fees for the First Congregational UCC of Union City is defaulted to cover the fees.  If you generously decide to pay for the fees, the base amount and the fees are both tax deductible.  When you receive your yearly giving statment, both will be included as donations.
