GIVING
GIVING
Thank you for your support!
God provides for the ministry of our church through your tithes and offerings and your gifts are honored with faithful stewardship, ethical business practices, and accountability to our congregation, community and wider church body, the United Church of Christ. You can give of yourself with time and talent, or you can give financially. All that you give is a blessing to God.
But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this?
Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.”
~1 Chronicles 29:14

Other ways to give
God loves everything that we give to further the mission of the church, financially, faithfully, and physically.
Financial support provides for the support of our staff, and for other the day to day expenses of providing our sanctuary and building for the various uses of congregation and community. Whether it is worship, fellowship or mission project, our whole lives are transformed by having our wonderful facility in which to practice our faith.
Faithfully participating in our worship and prayer life is something all of us can do, regardless of our economic situation. The sanctuary is one setting for worship, and we are continuing to explore other ways that worship occurs beyond our windows and doors, particularly since so many opportunities for long-distance interaction and fellowship is possible with social media. You can be a regular participant in body and in spirit, praying and worshiping no matter where you are.
Our physical presence in the world is a testament to the life-changing possibilities a relationship with God provides. When you give more than money to First Congregational, you participate in mission projects that impact lives on a local level that have global ramifications. Please continue to pray about what you can do on your everyday walk to reach out on God's behalf to the challenges of the world and God's people.
2 Corinthians 9:7-8 “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart what to give, not reluctantly of under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
Thank you for partnering and investing in the ministry of Our Church and in our community as well as giving to further God’s Kingdom!
